The proposed model juvenile code written by the State Bar of Georgia's Young Lawyers Division is contained in the following links as of March 13, 2008. 

Only revised articles are posted.  Click here for a brief summary of key provisions in the proposed code.

JUSTGeorgia is seeking public comment on the proposed model juvenile code.  Written comments will be accepted and considered if received on or before June 30, 2008.

JUSTGeorgia will gather these comments and, along with input taken from stakeholder interviews and public town hall meetings concerning the existing juvenile code, use them to transform the YLD work product into a proposed legislative package for submission in the 2009 legislative session.
